Vanessa Daou's 1994 debut album Zipless consists entirely of musical interpretations of the poetry of feminist writer Erica Jong as found in her 1991 collection Becoming light: poems new and selected. Listening to the 2008 album Joe Sent Me is like coming back to your favorite old haunt to find that time has stood still and preserved the magic of that first time you discovered it there.
